‘Girl Meets World’ Cast: Cory And Topanga Are ‘So Loving,’ Kids Say About Working With Boy Meets World’ Stars Ahead Of Premiere

"Girl Meets World" will premiere this summer and Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will be back to reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga! Rowan Blanchard, set to play their daughter Riley on "Girl Meets World," revealed that it's just short of a dream working with Savage and Fishel.

"We are in the middle of filming Season 1, well, I shouldn't say middle, we are towards the end," Blanchard said when E! News caught up with the young actress and star of the "Girl Meets World" cast. "It's going incredibly. I couldn't ask for a better project to work on. Everyone involved, they are all so loving and they have made it such a family show."

"Ben [Savage] and Danielle [Fishel], they are just my favorite people, they are equally my parents in real life as they are on screen," Blanchard added. "It's such a legacy, it hasn't even hit me yet."

The show will follow Riley and her best friend, Maya, played by "Sofia the First" actress Sabrina Carpenter, as they navigate middle school in New York City, ABC News reports.

"Boy Meets World" ran for seven seasons on ABC through 2000.

E! News reports that ABC's "Boy Meets World" creator Michael Jacobs is at the helm of the Disney Channel series spin-off.

"Girl Meets World is a new show for a new generation that will be rooted in the same kind of honest, comedic storytelling about coming of age and the importance of family and friendship that made Boy Meets World so popular," Jacobs said when "Girl Meets World" was announced.

While there is no official release date yet, the reboot will premiere this summer on the Disney Channel, E! News reports.
