LG G3 Mini Gets Detailed In Leaked File, Specs Include 720p Display, 8MP Shooter, Android Kitkat, Headed For AT&T

LG G3 mini: From the previous weeks we have been hearing (and reading) a lot about the upcoming LG G3 flagship from the Korean manufacturer. And from previous rumors, it would surely be among the top Android smartphones around when it does get launched soon.

Some alleged specs of the G3 include a 5.5-inch display at QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a quad-core CPU probably a Snapdragon 801, and Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box.

In fact, previous reports have even listed its purported model numbers for each of the four major US carriers where it would be released.

So with all the hype of the G3, it is only helpful for the manufacturer to let its smaller sibling, the G3 mini to ride the hype.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the LG G3 mini has appeared to a leaked document from AT&T, which strongly suggests that the upcoming handset would be hitting AT&T first than other US carriers.

In the file, the G3 mini reportedly packs a 720p or HD display, though there is no word yet about the screen size. Considering previous 'mini' releases, it would most likely fall in the 4.3-4.5-inch category.

Also on board is an 8-megapixel rear camera that is capable of shooting 3264 x 2248 resolution images. Ther would probably be a dual LED flash as well to produce better images in low light conditions.

Finally, the file tells us that the LG G3 mini will run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box with LG's own Optimus UI on top. While we still do not have any details regarding design, it would most likely be based on the G3's design.

So what do you think about this move by LG? Is it good to directly take on Samsung's strategy of releasing countless variations of its current and previous flagship devices?
