Happy 25^th Birthday to the Nintendo Game Boy. Today, April 21, marks the 25^th birthday of the handheld video game device that started the world of console devices and even popularized the widely known game, Pokemon.

The first ever set of Game Boys were officially released in Japan on April 21, 1989 and August of the same year in the United States. Europe then saw this Nintendo Game Boy in their shelves the following year, September 28, 1990.
