New York was barely above .500 at home, sporting a 20-17-4 record inside Madison Square Garden. Though it played better down the final stretch, this Rangers team might be better off playing on the road, no matter where. The Rangers' 25 road wins were the most in the Eastern Conference during the regular season, so there's confidence in the team being successful away from home.

"If you look at our road record, we have that because we continue to play the same high-tempo, north/south type of game and rolling the lines quickly," coach Alain Vigneault said. "There are certain matchups that we are looking for. There are certain we don't want. Once we're in the flow and the guys are playing well and executing well, sometimes you're not as concerned about matchups as you are pace and tempo."

The Flyers tied the series up by winning inside the Garden for the first time since 2011. Meanwhile, the Rangers have lost their last three at Philly.

"It's an energetic arena to play in for sure, and they feed off of that so you want to play a simple game," Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh told NHL.com. "You can't be afraid to take an icing, take a whistle here or there to keep the game on your side and keep up the pace. ... You have to be disciplined too. Their fans will be feeding off their physicality and you can't buy into it or get caught up in it. That's something we've done all season so far."

One aspect that Philly needs is to stay out of the box. The Flyers were in the penalty box 12 times in the first two games.

"Let's just say we don't want to give them six power plays every game," coach Craig Berube told NHL.com. "We have to be better. We can't take penalties the way we are. You're going to get penalties in a game just because. But you can't take emotional, dumb ones and careless penalties. It's going to hurt you."
