Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: Manufacturer To Release A Smartphone Cheaper Than The Moto G, Rumored Specs Include 4.3" Display, Dual-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, 5MP Shooter

Upcoming Motorola phones 2014: Last year, Motorola released what would be its best selling smartphone in the past few years - the Moto G.

But what did the Moto G have which made it the top selling midrange Android device last year?

According to reports, it is all about the price paired with a decent list of specifications and features. In case you do not know, the Moto G only costs a little over a hundred dollars when it launched, and since then various price cuts have even been implemented, further keeping its price low.

The Motorola Moto G packs a 4.3-inch display, 1GB of RAM, a dual-core CPU, a 5MP camera, and 8 or 16GB of internal storage. It was offered in all four major carriers in the US, all with various gimmicks to keep the Moto G's price below the average budget.

Now, it looks like Motorola wants to bank on this success to launch another affordable handset - the Moto E.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Motorola Moto E will certainly continue in the steps of its predecessor, the Moto G. It will allegedly pack a 4.3-inch display, a dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM and a 5 megapixel camera.

There is also a 4GB built in memory which will most likely be expandable via microSD card slot, considering that the Moto G has a non-expandable storage of either 8 or 16GB.

There would also be a front-facing camera which is an improvement to the previous model, a 1,900mAh battery and Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box.

However, what captured our attention is the allegedly cheaper price tag of the Moto E. While we still do not know how low it would cost, we are expecting it to be at most $50 cheaper than the Moto G.

We will bring you more details about this new affordable Motorola phone.
