Amazon Kindle Phone Rumored Specs Include 'Tilt' Functions Using 5 Front Sensors, Possible Announcement Date In The Next Few Weeks

Amazon Kindle phone: For the past couple of weeks we have been hearing rumors about Amazon's first ever smartphone, which would most likely fall under the Kindle lineup.

A report from BGR several weeks back says that this would be the best path to take for the retailer giant especially that among Android-powered devices in the entire North America, Amazon ranks second in terms of web traffic, second to Samsung and its army of handsets and tablets.

But if Amazon is working on a smartphone of its own, it better be unique and original in order to distinguish itself from the pack of Android devices right away.

And according to a recent report by GSM Arena, Amazon will certainly blow our minds away with the type of device it plans to unveil soon. Previous reports claim that the upcoming Kindle phone has five front sensors, and a couple of alleged live shots of the device have even surfaced.

Apparently, these sensors are not merely for facial recognition, but would be used more for tilt functions.

We are not talking about G-sensor or accelerator types of tilt functions where they only allow basic features and uses. In this type of tilt function, users would be able to launch certain apps, perform certain functions, and even check specific types of notifications.

In addition, the tilt functions may even allow the user to send an MMS to a friend without even a single tap. Well, that's as far as the rumor goes. We sure hope Amazon would be able to deliver such a revolutionary device for Android and Amazon fans.

In the report, the Amazon Kindle phone may be announced in a matter of months so we better stay tuned. We will make sure to let you know once everything has been made official.
