Hudson (2-1, 2.40) will face Cleveland for the first time in nearly 10 years. He's compiled a 1-2 mark and 6.33 ERA in eight career starts against the Indians, his highest ERA against any team he's faced more than once, according to ESPN.com.

The Giants are coming off an extra inning thriller where they won with the help of a season-high six six homeruns times in a 12-10, 11-inning victory at Colorado on Wednesday. Michael Morse and backup catcher Hector Sanchez each homered twice, with Sanchez establishing a career high with five RBIs after his grand slam in the 11th.

"Everybody wants to be the hero," said Sanchez, who was spelling Buster Posey in a day game following a night contest. "Everybody wants to do well."

Carrasco (0-2, 7.31 ERA) might be coming into San Fran at the wrong time after the Giants performance last night. He is still looking for his first win of the season. He has yet to get out of the fifth inning this season. Carrasco also hasn't allowed anything less than three runs.

Buster Posey is expected to make his return to the lineup for San Fran on Friday giving the Giants another great bat in the lineup, even though he was 3-for-33 before being sidelined.
