‘The Amazing Spider Man 2’ Plot Spoilers: J Jonah Jameson, Black Cat, Spider Slayer Introduced For The Next Film! Will Mary Jane Watson Appear?

Major Spoiler Alert! "The Amazing Spider Man 2" is meant to build the rest of the Sony Universe. The introductions discussed here concerns the next movie based on revelations from the sequel.

However, for the iconic J.Jonah Jameson, we cite a Google Hangout event last Monday when the question of when (if ever) we will see J. Jonah Jameson in the future.

The response as recounted by IGN. Director Marc Webb: "What a great "I like the idea very much of him coming up in the next film. It's really hard to introduce someone when actually it was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than somebody who can outdo J.K. Simmons in that role."

JK Simmons is a 59 year old actor who played J.Jonah Jameson in the Sam Raimi "Spider Man" trilogy. He's one of the few things left untarnished by the failure of "Spider Man 3." The fact that Webb mentioned him in that manner could mean Sony already has him in sight for the third installment.

"He is so iconic. That's something we really talked about because I love that character. He poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. ... I think you can expect to see [J. Jonah Jameson] in the future."

Meanwhile, Black Cat's alter ego was already in the first film (Felicia Hardy, played by Felicity Jones) but did not seem to have any connection with the comic book origin. While it was thought as a deviation from the source material, Den Of Geek pursued the character in their interview with producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach:

Arad: "Definitely. Everything you see that makes you think about the comics, I think you should read into it... when they'll be implemented, that's food for thought."Tolmach added: "there are no accidents."

For The Ultimate Spider Slayer, What Culture stated in their movie review/analysis:  The Ultimate Spider Slayer, otherwise known as Alistair Smythe, who has a very brief cameo in the sequel thanks to B J Novak... the head of Oscorp's tech division will go from secondary antagonist to fully formed super-villain, whether that is in a future Spider-Man movie, or in a spin-off. The smart money would be on the former, since a spin-off without a Spider-Man would clearly render the slaying robots useless."

The biggest spoiler-there is only one reason for Mary Jane to emerge. One clue-this series will not follow the 'love triangle' between Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane and Peter Parker. That only means the movie followed the path of the comic books when it concerns Gwen Stacy.

The US opening for "The Amazing Spider Man 2" is on May 2, 2014 but the next movie "The Amazing Spider Man 3" is already scheduled for June 10, 2016.
