Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding anniversary will be taking place this April 29 and to mark their third year of marriage, the 31-year-old royal made sure to give her wife an exceptional present.

For Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding anniversary, the Duke of Cambridge gifted the brunette beauty with a Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch complete with sapphire embellishments.

The prince reportedly chose the watch for its appearance complemented the Duchess of Cambridge's engagement ring which originally belonged to Princess Diana.

As per Cartier's website, the watch has "convex curves of the case, guilloche dial, sword-shaped hands, and polished or satin-finish links of the bracelet." The watch is typically priced at $5,950.

Prince William gave his gift just a few days before the royal family ended their three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia. The mother of Prince George reportedly loved the watch that she wore it every remaining single day of the family's tour.

On the other hand, it is yet unknown if the duchess will similarly give a present to her husband. Last year, Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding anniversary has been marked by a romantic dinner in London followed by a weekend getaway in Norfolk.
