"Prometheus 2" cast Michael Fassbender is reportedly leaving "Genius" starting speculations he is set to focus on the sequel. Although no reason was given, Jude Law comes in as replacement. Will "Aliens" director James Cameron be impressed by the level of dedication by the "Shame" star?

"Genius" is the biopic of Max Perkins, to be played by Academy award winner Colin Firth ("The King's Speech") and based upon the book "Max Perkins: Editor of Genius" written by A. Scott Berg.

Jude Law will play the character of Thomas Wolfe, one of the greatest American novelists of all time, according to Variety.com. Nicole Kidman has also signed on board for the film. Michael Fassbender, however, begged off from the film presumably so he could focus on the "Prometheus 2."

The sequel will make its theater debut on March 4, 2016 and by now, news of a multiple versions of David, the android played by "Prometheus" 2 cast Michael Fassbender, will be one of the things to watch out for in Ridley Scott's new film.

"Prometheus 2" might not be its final title as the film is being branded now as the "Untitled Ridley Scott Project," according to TheWrap. 

Film shooting is reportedly going to begin this fall right after its director Ridley Scott would have delivered the "Exodus" movie to 20th Century Fox.

The sequel is expected to feature multiple 'David' androids, which means there will be more than "Prometheus 2" cast Michael Fassbender.

Earlier, James Cameron-who directed "Aliens"- panned the original movie "Prometheus" and is distancing himself for "Prometheus 2" should the writing job be offered to him by the studio.

"I thought it was an interesting film. I thought it was thought provoking and beautifully, visually mounted, but at the end of the day it didn't add up logically," he said, according to moviepilot.
