"Hawaii Five-0" cast Scott Caan rode the waves in a beach in Los Angeles, California on Monday as the series gears for episode 21 called "Makani 'Olu a Holo Mãlie" where Steve McGarett joins Catherine Rollins in Afghanistan while she tries to repay a debt.

Scott Caan, the son of "Misery's" James Caan, has always been an avid surfer and takes time out to ride the waves whenever he has a downtime from filming "Hawaii Five-0," said MailOnline.

"Hawaii Five-0" cast Scott Caan grew up near the beach in Malibu and learned surfing while he was just a kid, MailOnline added.

According to the website, the 36-year-old actor's stint with the detective series and the subsequent filming in Hawaii has fully paid off as he didn't seem out of place in the water while wearing a black wet suit.

Scott Caan took advantage of the downtime in production as "Hawaii Five-0" season 4 winds down to a rousing finale on May 9 on CBS. During filming, he divides his time between his home in Los Angeles and Hawaii.

The series of photographs also showed him talking with some women companion in wet suits and sitting on their surfboards on the beach.

Last month, Scott Caan was spotted shirtless in Mexico also hitting the waves, showing off his tone abs and thick biceps, justjared.com reported.

"Hawaii Five-0" cast Scott Caan will be seen again for season 4, episode 21 entitled "Makani 'Olu a Holo Mãlie" or translated into English as"Fair Winds and Following Seas."

"Hawaii Five-0" season 4 episode 21 will focus more on Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) as they travel to Afghanistan

"McGarrett and Catherine travel to Afghanistan to stop the Taliban from harming a young boy whose family saved Catherine's life years ago," the official synopsis released by CBS revealed.

"Hawaii Five-0" season 4, episode 21 "Makani 'Olu a Holo Mãlie" airs Friday at 9 p.m. on CBS.
