‘24: Live Another Day’ Premiere: Kiefer Sutherland Filled With ‘Fear’ And ‘Nervousness’ About Jack Bauer Reprisal

Kiefer Sutherland is nervous about the "24: Live Another Day" premiere. The Jack Bauer actor is filled with "fear" and feels the weight of the responsibility to live up to the expectations of the "24: Live Another Day" anticipation from audiences.

"'The fear of not having ["24: Live Another Day"] fulfill all of its potential is massive," Sutherland told the Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail reports.

"We all feel a huge sense of responsibility to the show," he added. "There was this great sense of accomplishment when we finished the eight seasons of the show and it's a character that has changed my life in many ways. People will judge for better or for worse but yeah, there's a lot of nervousness on my behalf."

According to the Daily Mail, the "24: Live Another Day" special two-hour premiere is Monday, May 5, but the series is still carrying out reshoots in London. No wonder Kiefer Sutherland is nervous!

Sutherland, 47, also previously admitted that Jack will be angrier - and older - in "24: Live Another Day."

Agent Jack Bauer, who Sutherland hasn't played since "24" ended with season 8 in 2010, might be "a little slower" as the years catch up with him.

"I have to kind of skip, hop before I can start to run, just so I don't snap a tendon," he joked, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"If it was at all possible to make Jack more angry or pissed off than he was before, that's what we're gonna try and do with the ninth season," Sutherland hinted, DigitalSpy.com reports.

Sutherland will be joined by fellow "24" veterans Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver, and William Devane. New cast additions include Tamer Hassan, Stephen Fry, Yvonne Strahovski and Colin Salmon.
