Oasis Reunion 2014: Noel Gallagher Squelches Oasis Reunion Rumors Started by Liam; Oasis Guitarist Bonehead Arthurs Would Do It For Free

Oasis Reunion 2014: What wouldit take to get Liam and Noel Gallagher to reunite with Oasis? A billion pounds worth of condoms, or their equivent weight in Tea bags.

Two weeks ago, Liam Gallagher dropped hints on Twitter that Oasis might stand on the backs of giants to reunite. Noel Gallagher, the former Oasis guitarist who quit the band in 2009, said that won't be happening in an interview on talkSPORT last night. When DJ Andy Goldstein asked about the Oasis reunin, Noel Gallagher replied: ‘I was in the newsagent the other day when the story broke and the Daily Star said ‘Oasis to get back together for £500 million', which is half a billion [pounds].'

Noel Gallagher continued, "I'd do it for half a billion anything. Yorkshire Tea bags, condoms, Pot Noodles."

Several British bookmakers subsequently suspended betting on Oasis reuniting for a performance at Glastonbury festival in June .

Oasis' ex-frontman Liam Gallagher started the reunion rumors when he dropped a big cryptic hint on Twitter. Every few months, there is speculation that Oasis might be getting back together. This time that speculation is coming from British bookies.

Singer Liam Gallagher shared the band's name one letter at a time on his Twitter.com page, prior to meeting with former Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead" Arthurs.Bonehead thinks the brothers Gallagher are being ... boneheads. He would take the stage for free.

The former Oasis guitarist said "I'd be there like a shot and I'd do it for nothing... I don't know (if it will ever happen)! Don't ask me! Who knows, stranger things have happened. But I don't know. You're asking the wrong person for that."

Jessica Bridge of the odds-laying Ladbrokes said "Oasis were 33/1 until Liam's cryptic tweet and within minutes punters were clamoring to back them at any price available to headline Glastonbury. In next to no time we've racked up significant liabilities on a sensational reunion and it was time to take a breather when they were backed into odds-on."

Oasis is fronted by the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, they are as well known for their on and off stage bickering, and have been in a feud with each other over music projects and other bands over careless quotes.

There were rumors earlier this year that Oasis would be reuniting when the band posted a similarly cryptic message on Facebook. But that turned out to be a promotion for the remastered version of "Definitely Maybe."

Gallagher's publicist has not made any comment.
