"Spider-Man 3" spoilers are up and director Marc Webb is non-committal about having Peter Parker fall in love again after Gwen Stacy's death. The "Amazing Spider-man 2," meanwhile, is webbing its way to the box office.

Everybody knows that Peter Parker will eventually end up with Mary Jane but the timeline in the movie is different from the Marvel comic series. Marc Webb, for example, has decided to cut out Mary Jane from "Amazing Spider-Man 2" even after reportedly filming three scenes with "Divergent" star Shailene Woodley as the web slinger's redhead love interest.

In an interview with Grantland, Marc Webb did not really provide direct"Spider-Man 3" spoilers when asked if Mary Jane will turn up in the third film.

He explained: "Will Peter Parker love again? When [relationships] end, it's very difficult to imagine emerging from that. I think that's emotionally where he's going to start off in the next movie."

There's really no way of telling whether Peter Parker and Mary Jane will fall in love but Shailene Woodley offered some "Spider-Man 3" spoilers of her own.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly , she said that while she was bummed about not landing the role, she understood while because based on the progression of the characters according to the script, she couldn't possibly have Mary Jane's role in "Spider-Man 2" because the Marvel character wouldn't have to be introduced until the next film.

The "Amazing Spider-Man 2" opened with $91 million in the domestic market, only falling behind "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" which boasted of a $95 million opening.

The sales projection for "Amazing Spider-Man 2" is around $230 million gross domestically, which would make it the weakest showing in the franchise at the US box office.

But according to the denofgeek.com, the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" will boost its total sales from the international market and the film is on pace to reach $750 million after all is said and done.
