Lea Michele boyfriend Cory Monteith just celebrated his supposedly 32^nd birthday and despite his death, it did not stop the brunette beauty from commemorating her former beau. Last Sunday (May 11), the 'Glee' actress shared a black-and-white photograph of her with Monteith which was captioned with a bittersweet note.

It was in July 2013 when the 'Glee' actor passed away because of a toxic mix of alcohol and heroin. In the April 2014 issue of Seventeen magazine, the 'Cannonball' songstress thanked her late boyfriend for being the "best".

 "I only have happy memories of Cory. He was not his addiction -- unfortunately, it won. But that wasn't who he was. Cory made me feel like a queen every day. From the minute he said, 'I'm your boyfriend,' I loved every day, and I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful," she said.

In another interview with Teen Vogue, Michele said that Monteith would forever be her inspiration: "I somehow feel the insane love Cory and I had for each other morphed into this strength that I have right now. There's just something about knowing he's watching everything I'm doing and feeling like I have to do everything now not just for me but for him. I also have a safety net below me -- if I fall or if it's too much, my friends and family will be there to catch me."

Prior to releasing her album, Monteith also did not mind in sharing his opinions: "He heard every song and gave me notes on everything. He loved 'Battlefield.' I'm getting chills thinking about it. I would say 'Burn With You' was his favorite. He came into the studio that day."

Michele continues to move forward and instead of wallowing in grief, she opts to channel her feelings to her show 'Glee'. Although 'Glee' is nearing its last season, the doe-eyed beauty is reportedly being considered to have appearances in 'Sons of Anarchy' and 'American Horror Story'.
