This year, fans will again welcome Hollywood's "dumbest duo" with the return of 'Dumb and Dumber 2'. As early as now, fans of the original version are already intrigued with 'Dumb and Dumber 2' release date, cast, and trailer updates.

During this year's CinemaCon, brothers Peter and Bobby Farrelly gave hints about 'Dumb and Dumber 2' release date, cast, and trailer. As per Cinemabland, the follow-up to the famed comedy film which was first released in 1994 would still have a comical film.

The movie will depict the present lives of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne who are facing a problem. What happens when Harry finds out that he fathered a child from his former lover?

Part of the 'Dumb and Dumber 2' release date, cast, and trailer updates was an exclusive footage showing Harry visiting Lloyd. Harry then realizes about Lloyd's prank and ends up having a series of antics. What followed was a plan to search for Harry's missing child.

Cinemabland also hints that the movie might not be completely child-friendly. Jeff Daniels of 'The Newsroom' will be playing the onscreen half of Jim Carrey. In a previous interview with E! News, he talked about his excitement for his role.

"The intellectual free-fall from [Will] MacAvoy to Harry Dunn, imagine if you will...The scariest thing? There are some things that's we're going to do in "Dumb and Dumber To" that make the toilet scene [in the original] seem lame. Pales in comparison and I can't divulge what, but just that they've topped it. They best thing about it? I get to work with a comedic genius," he said.

He likewise praised Carrey: "I've been lucky, the people I get to work with. I think Jim's got a one-of-a-kind gift, I think he's a comedic genius. To marry what I can do with him is a joy, we blend well together."

'Dumb and Dumber 2' release date is on November 14 although no trailer has been publicized yet. Other celebrities who will be joining the cast are Kathleen Turner, Lauri Holden, Rob Riggle, and surprisingly, Jennifer Lawrence.
