On May 15, G-Dragon, the YG Entertainment superstar and leader of popular K-Pop group Big Bang, updated his Instagram account with a simple and straight-forward message, "Fighting," and fans are trying to get to the bottom of what it means.

The word "fighting" in Korean is a term of encouragement similar to the English-language expression "You can do it!" - but to whom was the message intended?

Some fans think that G-Dragon's post is connected to his agency's equally mysterious teaser image asking fans the question "Who's next?" and implying that a YG artist is expected to make a comeback or a debut very soon.

Known for their tight-knit relationships, YG artists are lovingly referred to as "family" and actively participate in one another's projects.  Perhaps G-Dragon was sending some positive energy to whichever artist is soon to return with fresh, new music?  

G-Dragon and his Big Bang bandmates TOP, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri are also currently working on their upcoming album with the leader taking charge of writing, composing, and producing the project.  The uplifting message could very well have been intended for himself as a way to keep focused on the task at hand.

Around the internet, others are speculating that the singer meant the message to be support for fellow K-Pop idols EXO and their member Kris who is currently battling with the label SM Entertainment over unfair contract terms.

Other social media users suggested things a bit more far-fetched such as the singer's own secret nuptials.

Of course, fans should not get too far ahead of themselves as the Instagram picture could have easily just been a general positive message intended for G-Dragon's followers. (But what's the fun in that?)
