Final Fantasy 15 may be arriving at E3 in 2014, but a release date might not be until 2015.

Recently, Gaming Bolt unveiled the latest fiscal year forecast by Square Enix, extending to March 31, 2015. Reportedly, the gaming company made a profit of $65 million over the past fiscal year, in part due to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, and Thief.

However, the projections for this fiscal year also has decreased its projected software sales from 17.23 million to 12 million.

For many, this could foreshadow a lack of major title release dates for this coming fiscal year, which would include Final Fantasy 15.

Which is not to say Final Fantasy 15 won't make an appearance at the 2014 E3.

According to PSU, Square Enix executive Shinji Hashimoto has hinted at the possibility of both Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3, despite not having a release date for either.

"We would like to keep it a secret," said Hashimoto. “It just only a few months from now. I’m pretty sure you will be surprised.”

"Actually not only do we have June, but there will be many events from now on such as San Diego Comic-Con, Tokyo Game Show, and others."

Recently, new gameplay footage from Thailand Comic Con 2014 surfaced for Final Fantasy 15, show perhaps we shall get more information on the Square Enix title. Although, receiving a release date would probably be wishful thinking.
