"Hope everyone will get behind #invictusgames. Great opportunity to support and thank the men and women who have given so much. Harry," 29-year-old Prince Harry wrote.

It was promptly followed up with, "Yes, that last tweet from 'Harry' really was by none other than #InvictusGames President Prince Harry!"

Which other British royals have taken to Twitter?

According to CNN, Prince Andrew (@TheDukeofYork) and the Queen (represented by@BritishMonarchy) have a presence on the social media site. Prince Charles is represented from the handle @ClarenceHouse, which posts updates about the Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Harry, his brother Prince William, and William's wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. According to the LA Times, that was the account that announced the arrival of Prince George in a series of tweets last summer.

However, it is unlikely that these tweets actually come from the royals themselves.

"Members of the royal family don't normally tweet. I don't think they've ever tweeted," Invictus Games Charmain Keith Mills told the Guardian. "But they were comfortable and he was thrilled to do it, so we have made a bit of history this morning."

The Guardian also reports that Prince Harry is rumored to have a secret Twitter account that he uses to keep an eye on gossip about him on social media. If so, he's probably had a lot to read recently following his public break up from girlfriend Cressida Bonas, who he dated for two years.

The Invictus Games will take place in September this year, in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, which was built for the 2012 Summer Olympics, CNN reports. Tickets are on sale now and the full schedule can be found on the Invictus Games website.
