‘Iron Man 4’ Cast Rumors: Zac Efron As Arno Stark? Stage Is Set For Introduction Of Howard Stark's 'Other Son' As Tony Takes Over World Security Duty!

Zac Efron recently set the Superhero movie world abuzz with the rumor that he is the newest star on Marvel Studio's stable. While he has been linked to upcoming franchises, he could be the torchbearer for the film outfit's top franchise: Iron Man.

Just as "The Death Of Wolverine" would be a convenient way to seamlessly re-cast the Wolverine character, the current Iron Man storyline wherein Tony Stark is slowly passing on the armor to his newly discovered younger brother, (who is actually his foster brother in the comics-as Tony Stark was revealed to be adopted) the same events may follow in the Cinematic version.

The strong showing of "Neighbors" and Efron's establishment as a comedic actor may have been factors for Disney to make the final verdict on the former "High School Musical" star. Humor and comedic timing was a huge part of Iron Man's iconic appeal.

How do we know that Arno Stark will appear? Certain parallels between the comic story arc and the Cinematic Universe are falling into place.

According to Moviepilot. Tony Stark has taken over the role of SHIELD, the organization taking care of world security that was founded by his father, Howard Stark. From Moviepilot: "Tony Stark is indeed bankrolling The Avengers this time out. With the dissolution of S.H.I.E.L.D. in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and its subsequent "handover" to Phil Coulson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Tony Stark takes on the role of global security by housing The Avengers in the former Stark Tower, now Avengers Tower."

With that development, there are also constant allusions to the comic book origin of Arno. According to Marvel Universe, Arno was genetically engineered with Kree technology. There was a blue alien in "Agents of SHIELD" that has yet to be identified, but it could be the connecting lynchpin.

There will be further explanations in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America 3" along with the "Agent Carter" TV series which may prominently feature Howard Stark. All these movies and TV shows will cover the next two years of Marvel and will all take place before any new "Iron Man" movie-at which time the origin is firmly established.

For the movies to watch before Marvel gets down for Iron Man 4, we have "Avengers: Age of Ultron" at May 1, 2015 and Captain America 3" on May 6, 2016.
