LG G3 specs, release date: Several days away from the LG G3's upcoming announcement, a new report shows us the confirmed specs sheet of the Android smartphone. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, several leaked images surfaced and have made the rounds all over the Web. The images appear to come from an early preview of the device, probably to several partner companies and businesses. And from what the images and specs tell us, the LG G3 is definitely the real deal. 

Compared to other flagships such as the Sony Xperia Z2, the Samsung Galaxy S5, and the HTC One M8, the G3 will make its debut in the following weeks to a couple of months at most. This puts the device into a situation where it has no real threat in terms of new competitors. 

Indeed a lot of people may have already bought any of the three flagships mentioned above, but how about the other thousands or probably millions of consumers who are still waiting for the 'right' device? When the LG G3 gets officially released in June or July, it would be the sole top smartphone in that time of the year. 

So what did the leaker reveal about the LG G3? Nothing new, though it confirmed a lot of the rumored specs of the device. 

Like what previous reports claim, the LG G3 will pack a 5.5-inch IPS display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP primary camera and a 2.1MP front-facing shooter, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. 

The third sensor at the back was also confirmed to be a laser sensor that would help the rear snapper focus and capture images much faster. 

There are also some new cool gestures in order to use the G3 more effectively, one of which include a touch-less gesture to take camera shots. 

The LG G3 will officially be unveiled on May 27, and we're just waiting for the company's announcement regarding availability and pricing.
