Emma Watson's boyfriend Matthew Janney appears to be proud of his girlfriend who just received her degree in English literature from Brown University. The 24-year-old actress entered the Ivy League school in 2009. Prior to her graduation, Emma Watson's boyfriend treated her to an intimate breakfast in New York City's Upper East Side.

While the 'Noah' star wore the mandatory black gown and cap for her graduation, she opted to have a bit of glamour by sporting red lipstick. She even shared a pre-graduation photo on her Twitter account. The ceremony took place in Providence, Rhode Island wherein nearly 2,000 students received their degrees.

 Previously, the 'Bling Ring' actress thanked her classmates for treating her like a normal student despite her celebrity status: "I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook.

Recently, it was reported that Emma Watson's boyfriend would throw a Mexican-themed bash to commemorate all of her hard work. Apart from her studies in Brown University, Watson similarly went to Oxford University in England for a year.

The 'Perks of Being a Wallflower' star once confessed that she'd get "very drunk" for it wasn't wasy to balance schooling with her Hollywood commitments.

"People told me it wasn't possible. I kept saying, 'I don't care.' This is what I want. And graduating will, for me, be really symbolic of all of that. I will be there. And I will be throwing a huge party. And getting very drunk," she said last year.

Despite her graduation, the British star remains wishful that she'll be able to prove much in the future. For the February issue of Wonderland magazine, the Oxford-raised beauty was asked about her plans using her newly-acquired degree.

"I've been very fulfilled by my studies. English has helped me think in an analytical way. It's helped me see the world from new perspectives. Diving into these stories and characters has given richness to my own life. And now, when I read scripts or look at stories, I have these references for a larger understanding of humanity. I'm sure it will make my job as an actress more interesting," she gushed.
