As opposed to the original 'Jupiter Ascending' release date of July 18, fans will have to wait until February 6, 2015 to watch the sci-fi thriller film of Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis.

The moved 'Jupiter Ascending' release date was reportedly the decision of film masterminds Lana and Andy Wachowski whose previous works include 'The Matrix' fillm series, 'Cloud Atlas', and 'Speed Racer.'

According to Hollywood Reporter, the Wachowski siblings feel that the film is still lacking in the special effects department. This halfhearted assessment reportedly prompted them to push back the 'Jupiter Ascending' release date.

Warner Brothers' domestic distribution chief Dan Fellman explained the decision to Variety: "With the July release date, they were just not going to make it on time. A lot of the issue for us was getting it ready for the international release, since the foreign territories need additional time."

In a previous interview with Collider, Tatum said that most of the stunts in the film did not involve digital editing.

"We are breaking ground on-I mean it's a tough shoot. We're doing stuff that's never been done, inside the camera, in the CG world, and the physical stuff. There's very little, if not no, digital stuntmen in the movie. All the stuff is really real and it's been hard figuring it out because they don't like doing anything that's been done before. So we're definitely doing some new stuff, so hopefully everybody likes it. And it's fun, it's got some cheek to it. It's a cheeky movie a little bit," he explained.

 The production budget of 'Jupiter Ascending' is reportedly $150 million. Viewers will be seeing plenty of intergalactic fight scenes initiated by Tatum who plays the role of a half-wolf, half-albino warrior who goes to Earth in order to protect Kunis.

Kunis initially plays the role of a house cleaner but later realizes that she is a galactic princess who must protect the Earth from evil forces. With Tatum on her side, will they be able to defeat their enemies?
