According to TV Guide, the official synopsis for "Penny Dreadful" episode 6 reads: "Vanessa's latest vision leads Sir Malcolm, Ethan and Sembene to explore a plague ship in search of Mina. Meanwhile, Van Helsing reveals to Dr. Frankenstein more details about the creature that has taken Mina. Later, Vanessa's night with Dorian unlocks something dark within her."

"Penny Dreadful" stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton and Eva Green. Showtime recently renewed the series for season 2 and has ordered 10 episodes, up from the eight-episode season 1, Deadline reports. "Penny Dreadful" season 2 will go into production later this year and will continue to shoot on location in Dublin for a 2015 launch.

Timothy Dalton, who plays Sir Malcolm on "Penny Dreadful," recently revealed to The Wrap what he loves about the series.

"I can give you the absolute truth, but it is kind of a cliché. I love writing. I love words. I love good drama. When you start reading a story that grips you and involves you and makes you ask lots of questions, that makes you turn the page in excitement about what is gonna to happen next, you know you're reading something good."
