Mega Sableye Unveiled In Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Gameplay Trailer: Critics Lampoon Additional Evolution In ORAS

As E3 continues, a brand new Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire trailer has been unleashed, introducing a new Mega Evolution with Sableye.

"Sableye is a Dark- and Ghost-type Pokémon," says the official press release from The Pokemon Company. "Mega Sableye has concentrated all of the energy from Mega Evolution into the jewel which adorns its chest. Once Sableye has Mega-Evolved, this jewel will swell and become detached from its body."

"Mega Sableye uses the jewel as a powerful defensive tool in battle. From behind the shelter of the jewel, it can readily exploit the opponent’s weaknesses and take advantage of any openings. It is said that the jewel hardens into such strength that no attack can even make a scratch!"

Although it's specific Ability and other battle elements have not be revealed, Pokemon fans are presuming the Mega Evolution to be a defensive Pokemon that will be difficult to penetrate due to its immunities.

Along these lines, some fans are criticizing Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha due to the introduction of more Mega Evolutions.

"It used to be about fun," commented EarthenWarrior on PokeJungle. "Until the loses started to sting, then the meta game standards made it that only Pokmeon bred a specific way could be worthy."

"Then people started building teams based on cheap and overused crap that are difficult to counter. They don't care about you or your feelings. They only care about placing higher than anybody by any means necessary."

Others, however, are stepping up to defend Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, as well as Mega Evolution.

"People complain when things are easy, then back down when things get slightly difficult," added Chaos.

"Introducing Mega Evolution in X and Y was a huge risk to begin with," wrote Igneous, "So I don't see why they would stop. I don't see people complain about Groudon and Kyogre's Primal Regression, not as much."
