Upcoming Lenovo Phones 2014: Vibe Z2 Will Be LG G3 Rival In China, Specs Incl. Metal Body, QHD Display, 3GB RAM, Super Slim Bezels

In case you are a fan of both Android and Lenovo, you may want to check out what the Chinese manufacturer has in store for all of us.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the new Lenovo flagship has been spotted at the Mobile Asia Expo in China Mobile's booth, and from how it looks, it is very well dressed to kill the competition and emerge as the top Android dog for this year.

Dubbed as the Lenovo K920, the Android-powered device sports some serious specs which could make consumers a run for their hard-earned cash. Design-wise, there is nothing spectacular about the new generation Lenovo Vibe Z.

The phone still features the company's usual block-like design, but this time it packs a super sleek looking metal finish. We're pretty sure it's not plastic like what the G3 did, and probably what the Galaxy S5 Prime/F will do. Lenovo is known to be a top notch smartphone maker and it particularly excels in the used materials department.

We can also see in the image that the Lenovo K920 sports such thin bezels, on all sides, making it look shorter and even narrower than other Android flagships.

This will be a crucial move for Lenovo as Android fans are looking for bigger screens while still keeping in check the device's portability and as a report says 'pocketability'. With how the Lenovo K920 looks, it sure would be able to fit most pockets.

Meanwhile, on the specification side, the Lenovo handset will pack a huge 6-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution. This makes it the first QHD device which packs a 6 inch screen.

The K920 also boasts a quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 3GB of RAM just like the recently launched LG G3. At the back is a 16MP shooter with OIS while there is a 5-megapixel front cam for selfies and video calls.

Another crucial factor here for Lenovo is pricing. If the Chinese is able to provide a lower price tag than what LG did with the G3, then we certainly have ourselves a close one
