`Breaking Bad’ Spinoff `Better Call Saul’ Will Not Defend Aaron Paul Or Bryan Cranston

Jesse Pinkman and Walter White will probably not be reuniting at the office of Saul Goodman. Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, the stars of "Breaking Bad," will probably not be appearing in the AMC spinoff series "Better Call Saul," which is being started up by creator Vince Gilligan.

"Breaking Bad" stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston want to return for "Better Call Saul." Both actors have gone on the record saying they would enjoy a Jesse Pinkman and Walter White reunion. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

"Better Call Saul" will be a prequel to the award-winning, TV game-changing antihero series "Breaking Bad." The show takes place before the blue meth adventures hit the streets of New Mexico.

Aaron Paul recently talked to HuffPost Live host Ricky Camilleri saying he'd really like the reunion. "I didn't think that news was supposed to be public yet but yeah, we are doing another season," Paul said, "No that's a lie. That's not happening guys, come on!"

"Let's be honest, I don't think we're going to see more 'Breaking Bad,' but I hope we might be able to play our character again in 'Better Call Saul,' but that's not solidified," Paul said. "It's not set in stone, there's no plan of Jesse or Walt making an appearance in the first season of 'Better Call Saul.' [But] who knows? Maybe in the future seasons."

That doesn't mean a Jesse Pinkman or Walter White appearance is forever out of the picture. Bryan Cranston told CNN "never say never" to the once and future Heisenberg putting in an appearance.

Bryan Cranston told David Letterman "Hey, you never saw bags zip up or anything, or anybody say... you know."

Aaron Paul is much less sure that Jesse Pinkman will assist the master chef on "Better Call Saul."

the Huffington Post, Paul set the record straight; though we're sure rumors will continue to fly. Here's the telling quote from Paul about returning as Jesse Pinkman:

In February it was reported that Aaron Paul was in serious talks with series creator Vince Gilligan on "Better Call Saul." The Associated Press reported that Aaron Paul has had "serious talks" with Vince Gilligan, the co-creator of "Better Call Saul," to play Jesse Pinkman in the days before he met Walter White. While he was still breaking bad himself.

"Better Call Saul" will premiere in November on AMC.
