Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: Moto G 4G Now Available In The US, Costs $219 As Advertised

Announced several weeks back, one of the awaited and upcoming Motorola phones for 2014 is now here and available in the US.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Motorola Moto G 4G is now available to order from the company's website. This version is the unlocked and SIM-free version, and brings all the basic functions of a decent Android device.

If you were a fan of the Moto G which packs decent specs for such an affordable price, the Moto G 4G takes it one notch higher.

Like the original Moto G, the 4G LTE-enabled version also packs a 4.5 IPS display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, Adreno 305 for decent graphics performance and a 1GB RAM.

Also on board are 8GB or 16GB internal memory options, both coming with microSD card slot for memory expansion. The Moto G 4G also boasts LTE connectivity which supports major local network bands.

At the back lies the 5MP primary camera that can shoot HD videos, while there is a 1.3MP front facing shooter for selfies and video calls.

The device comes with Android 4.4.3 Kit Kat out of the box so expect smooth performance and fluidity in running applications and tasks. The device costs $219 for the 8GB version.

Motorola has not been announcing as many phones compared to other Android OEMs, but it more than makes up for them by unveiling truly quality handsets which boast both functionality, durability, quality and affordability.

Another entry-level Motorola handset that may pique your interest is the Moto E, which is even cheaper than the favorite Moto G. Reports are pointing to the release of a Moto X+1 device which would be Motorola's newest Android flagship phone, and rumored to make its debut in the coming weeks so we'll keep you updated on that as well.
