American Idol Winner Kelly Clarkson announced her baby girl's name on Twitter.

Kelly Clarkson is a mom. She hid her baby bump until April but now she proudly announced she has a baby girl. The 32-year-old singer and her husband Brandon Blackstock took to Twitter to say they were "on cloud nine" after the birth of their baby girl River Rose Blackstock.

Kelly Clarkson took to Twitter to say "'Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th!" and "Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! (sic)."

Clarkson announced she was expecting a daughter earlier this year. Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock got married in an intimate ceremony in Tennessee last October. Clarkson is already a stepmother to Brandon's two children from his first marriage, Seth, seven, and Savannah, 11. It didn't take long for Clarkson to reveal that she couldn't wait to get pregnant.

Clarkson announced her pregnancy back in November. Two months later Kelly revealed she was expecting a girl.

According to Us Weekly, being a mommy "all that she could talk about."

"More than anything, next I want a baby. Lots of them!" Clarkson told Us Magazine in October. "My record label is freaking out because all I can talk about now are babies. We're really excited and want to get our family started."

The singer had a difficult pregnancy early on and battled morning sickness.

Talking on the Ellen DeGeneres show last year she said "I vomit a good dozen times a day. I vomited before coming out here! ... It's, like, so gross."

At the time she took to Twitter for empathy, tweeting "Ladies if you r pregnant & sick as a dog trust me when I say the one thing u will keep down might just be 'baked potatoes' #godblesspotatoes (sic)"

On April 24, Kelly tweeted "It's my birthday!!!! For my birthday I have asked my unborn baby girl to sleep through the night and laugh a lot when she comes out :) (sic)."
