Halle Berry admitted that she believes in aliens at the "Extant" TV show premiere screening at the California Science Center. Halle Berry also revealed new spoilers ahead of the "Extant" premiere date on July 9 on CBS.

"I'm not so egotistical to think that we're the only ones living in this vast, vast universe," Halle Berry said, the Los Angeles Times reports. "I do think there's other life out there."

The 47-year-old Oscar winner is also co-executive producer of "Extant," along with Steven Spielberg.

"The script was amazing," Berry said. "I hadn't read anything like it. And Steven Spielberg, I mean, he's the king. If you're gonna do TV about extraterrestrials and sci-fi and supernatural, I think he's a good one to do it with."

"Extant" will hopefully follow in the footsteps of another summer Spielberg TV show, "Under the Dome." When the series premiered last summer as a limited mini-series, it gained so much popularity that season 2 will air next Monday. The success of "Under the Dome" may in part be due to a streaming deal with Amazon, the Los Angeles Times reports. "Extant" has the same deal, and though the show is also being called a limited summer event, it's likely producers are hoping for the same success and longevity as "Under the Dome."

As we previously reported, the series will focus on Halle Berry's character, Molly Woods, trying to hide a secret: after spending 13 months on a solo space mission, she returns to Earth and finds out that she's pregnant. The TV show will likely follow the arc of hiding the pregnancy from her husband and robot child.

"We love the idea of season two being the sequel to this," executive producer Greg Walker said. "The threat we establish in season one ... will continue in season two."

"This is the way television should be ... ['Under the Dome' has] been a great new model," CBS Corp CEO Leslie Moonves said of "Under the Dome" and its success, Deadline reports.
