"Arrow" season 3 spoilers are up and Blue Beetle is being banded about as the next super villain while cast Stephen Amell continues to root for Harley Quinn's comeback although declining to provide confirmation about casting.

James Garcia of We Got This Covered blog referred to the official "Arrow" season 3 spoilers by CW which revealed four new characters for next season. What he's interested about is this character description:

"'DANIEL' | Though Daniel could be a fake name to throw off spoilerholics, this 20-something gent - a major recurring character for Season 3 - is a handsome, enigmatic and highly intelligent entrepreneur developing groundbreaking technology. (Picture a business magnate in Ryan Gosling's body.) Though exuding charm and confidence in public, he privately harbors a tragic past that will drive him to become a tech-powered superhero. Watch for this formidable fella to be a love interest for Felicity and a rival of Oliver's - both personally and professionally."

The blog writer noted that Daniel's name could be changed to protect his identity but "my guess is that 'Daniel' is none other than Blue Beetle."

"For those unfamiliar with the character, Blue Beetle is a superhero who appears in DC comics and relies on his genius intellect and advanced technology to fight crime," he said. "Then, of course, there's the name Daniel itself, which could very well be a nod to the first Blue Beetle, Dan Gerret. In the comics, Gerrett is a mentor of Kord's, who dies and passes on the responsibility of the Beetle mantle to his protege."

Meanwhile, without really revealing any "Arrow" season 3 spoilers, cast Stephen Amell however hoped that Harley Quinn will make an appearance in future episodes.

"I don't know if she's going to be involved in Season Three, but the high-pitched voice in Episode 16 was absolutely Harley Quinn," he said during the Phoenix Comic Con. "I didn't know about any of this, by the way, because I wasn't in that scene. But I'm a fan and I remember seeing that preview and feeling like I should have known that this was going to happen!"

"I also know that there was an additional scene with that character in the finale -- again, still in the cell, still with her back to us -- but it had to be cut for time," he added without revealing much of "Arrow" season 3 spoilers.
