Tecmo Koei has announced "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate" will be released for next-gen counsels on September 5.

"Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate" predecessor "Warriors Orochi 3" was released in 2012, and combed the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. The game was a crossover, combining characters from franchises such as "Ninja Gaiden," "Soul Calibur" and "Dead or Alive." "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate" will release with improved visuals, graphics, a new storyline, and new modes for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

Omega Games' enhanced version includes 145 playable characters that can be used in several game modes. These characters include the introduction of Abe Seimei, Shennong, and Tamamo. Cameos include Xu Shu from "Dynasty Warriors" and Rachel from the "Ninja Gaiden" series ,with more to be announced.

There are 51 distinct stages including cross-over stages melding universes from "Atelier," "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2," "Dynasty Warriors," and "Samurai Warriors." The playable modes include "One Warrior Against a Thousand," offline and online competitions, as well as a hybrid mode composed of team and card battles. Tecmo Koei has also released a set of screenshots, showcasing the game's new Duel Mode among other things.

The game will feature battlefields with up to 100 enemies on screen, each with progressive AI, plus new moves including Aerial Special attacks, Triple Rush, a system which allows the player the ability to switch between individual characters or unleash attacks as a party of 3 and the powerful finishing move, and True Musou Burst executable by up to 6 characters.

Tecmo Koei also announced that pre-ordering "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate" from GameStop will grant Halloween costume sets for Zhao Yun from Dynasty Warriors and Mitsunari Ishida of Samurai Warriors. Alternatively, Amazon and Best Buy pre-orders come with Toukiden costumes for Kaguya, Nuwa and Taigong Wang.

Independent retailers will also be offering Toukiden costumes for Kaguya, Nuwa and Taigong Wang when you pre-order your copy of "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate."
