Robin Thicke put out his new album, "Paula," to win back the love of his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton, and right about now the actress is probably thinking of changing her name. Robin Thicke's new album hit the charts limping, debuting at number 530. That ain't a bullet after the number, it's an anchor. And, well, maybe it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

If Robin Thicke is betting on sales for his new album Paula to keep then together, divorce lawyers must be circling like vultures over a newly dead body in a parched desert.

Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines dominated record sales in 2013. But even a Twerking Miley Cyrus can't save his new one. According to Billboard, Thicke's 45 minute apology sold 25,000 copies in the U.S. and 530 in the U.K. I bet Thicke is sorry he threw Miley Cyrus under the bus after the MTV VMAs performance in 2013.

But it's not the creepiness of the album that's stalling sales, although Time magazine said a full album of mea culpa is "a sign you've had an awful year." If this album is a tribute to Thicke's wife of 20 years, Paula Patton DJ Booth says "Paula Patton deserves better, and so do listeners."

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton split up after rumors and gossip and the Miley Cyrus VMAs 2013 performance. The R&B singer hopes to win back his high school sweetheart with a deeply personal album. But that won't happen if Paula doesn't listen to the record.

Sophie Gilbert, wrtiing in The Atlantic, says "Robin Thicke's Paula Is One of the Creepiest Albums Ever Made." She writes "Robin Thicke's Paula is less Marvin Gaye's Here, My Dear and more the musical equivalent of a Facebook friend who refuses to stop overdoing it on tequila slammers and ranting about the demise of their relationship. It's messy, it's generally grammatically incoherent, it's humiliating for everyone involved."

Robin Thicke put out a personal mea culpa in an entire album dedicated to his estranged wife Paula Patton.  Robin Thicke's latest album is called, simply, "Paula." Thich's new album is being marketed as a full-length concept album plea for reconciliation.

Robin Thicke and his actress wife Paula Patton separated in February after a series of reported sightings of Thicke getting down on the dancefloor in public with other women. Not that Patton is even listening. Thicke admitted "She's only heard a few songs. I don't think she wants to hear it right now. I can't speak for her, but I think space is an important part of any healing process."
