Naya Rivera Not Fired From Glee, But Not in Main Cast for Sixth and Last Glee Season; Naya Rivera Demoted to Recurring Guest Star, But It was Her Choice

Naya Rivera is no longer a series regular on the hit Fox Network choir geek show "Glee," but that doesn't mean we've seen the last of her.

E! News Confirmed that, in Glee's sixth and final season, Santana Lopez, played by Naya Rivera will no longer be a series regular. TV Line reported that Naya wanted less screentime.

According to E! News sources, it was Rivera's decision to get pulled from full-time duty. But Glee's producers say that Rivera will appear on a recurring basis for Glee's last year.

This news comes as the other Glee student make headlines. Chris Colfer and Lea Michele's Twitter accounts were reportedly hacked this week.

The 26-year-old actress/singer Naya Rivera endured endless rumors of on-set fights that reportedly resulted in her firing. Naya returns as Santana Lopez for the final season in 2015.

A few months ago, rumors flew that Naya was fired from "Glee" after an on-set argument with series star Lea Michele. A spokesperson for Rivera later said those reports were "absolutely untrue."

Glee's seniors, including Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer), graduated at the end of season three. Dianna Agron didn't come back as a series regular in season four.  Heather Morris, who played Naya Rivera's on-screen love interest, will also cut her screen-time. She got pregnant with her first child in season four.

Naya Rivera recent got engaged to rapper Big Sean.
