Samsung Galaxy S3 users can now install Android 4.4.4 KitKat update using a custom firmware.

CyanogenMod team just rolled out the CM11 M8 ROM for Samsung Galaxy S3. The custom ROM can be installed specifically to Samsung Galaxy S3 bearing the model number GT-I9300.

CM 11 M8 ROM arrived approximately a month after the release of CyanogenMod 11 M7 builds. According to International Business Times, the CM 11 M8 "adds the same stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat present in Nexus 5 and Nexus 4."  

Furthermore, as reported on Android Geeks, the Android 4.4.4 CM 11 M8 Stable builds will bring in various changes such as custom homescreen grid sizes, additional Protected Apps items, Whisper push fixed, VPN fixes, 'heads up' notification, and a lot more.
