George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin Wedding Gets Lawyer’s Mother’s Seal Of Approval? ‘Monuments Men’ Actor Receives Apology Over Wrong Reporting

George Clooney and Amal Alammudin's wedding has reportedly received her mother's seal of approval as the "Monuments Men" actor received an apology from a British newspaper over a wrong report.

According to E! Online, Baria Alamuddin seems to have taken a liking to Nina Bruce Clooney as they walked together "arm-in-arm" in Lake Como, Italy looking for souvenirs.

Both George Clooney and Amal Alammudin are in Italy as well scouting for locations for their upcoming wedding.

"According to an eyewitness, the lovebirds took a tour of Lake Como, where they engaged in some sweet PDA, before they went back to Clooney's famed Villa Oleandro," E! reported, adding that they also had dinner in Venice, then with the actor's parents in Lake Como last week.

The photo came in the wake of the MailOnline report that Baria Alamuddin is opposed to George Clooney and Amal Alammudin's wedding, as she allegedly told friends that her daughter could do better.

The newspaper has since made a public apology and acknowledged the error of the report.

The statement from MailOnline said that, "We accept Mr Clooney's assurance that the story is inaccurate. We have removed the article from our website and will be contacting Mr Clooney's representatives to discuss giving him the opportunity to set the record straight."

However, the newspaper said that its report was not fabricated by its reporter who based "her story on conversations with long-standing contact" with strong ties to the Druze and Lebanese community.

The "Monuments Men" star slammed the report by the British newspaper in relation to the George Clooney and Amal Alammudin's wedding as "completely fabricated." He also said it will potentially put his future mother-in-law in harm's way by suggesting that she was a member of The Druze religious sect.

"The irresponsibility, in this day and age, to exploit religious differences where none exist, is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous," he wrote for USA Today.
