Many believe that the ultra-private couple may have wanted to keep their relationship secret and away from the limelight but there are also those who believe that they were already leaving clues on the real score.

In particular, Lee Sung Kyung seemed to be the more careful of the two, making sure to delete social media posts that spark dating rumors like her Coldplay post in which fans figured she was with her beau Nam Joo Hyuk. The Scarlet Heart Ryeo actor, while taking Lee Sung Kyung's lead most of the time, could not help but leave bread crumbs for the fans to follow. Here are some of the clues that Nam Joo Hyuk let slip in the months since dating rumors began to swirl.

Nam Joo Hyuk called Lee Sung Kyung his girlfriend before the admission that they were dating. A BTS clip posted online showed Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung as they were filming the scene where Bok Joo and Joon Hyung just finished seeing Shi Ho's gymnastics competition. Nam Joo Hyuk proudly introduces Lee Sung Kyung to the cameraman as his girlfriend. Because he phrased it as a joke, little did the crew know that he was telling the truth, Drama Fever revealed.

Ad Libbed Kisses. As an act of brilliance, Nam Joo Hyuk was able to sneak in several extra kisses from Lee Sung Kyung while filming some scenes in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" when he conveniently added the lines "I will run if you give me a ppo ppo (kiss)." In one of the scenes, he stole a kiss from Bok Joo while in another, Bok Joo willingly gave him a smack on the lips which energized him to run faster. As soon as fans knew that the kisses were ad libbed, dating rumors never ceased.

Fan Meet focus. Lee Sung Kyung was present during Nam Joo Hyuk's first fan meeting and was trying to keep a low profile and blend into the crowd. Unfortunately for her, her proud boyfriend shone the spotlight on her and pointed her out to the crowd, Kpopstarz reported.

Social Media likes. Nam Joo Hyuk is not particularly active on social media, only occasionally posting a snap of himself or one that includes his buddy Jisoo on their hangout sessions. But a quick glance at his Instagram would have fans convinced that he's smitten with his co-star given a number of images she has on his IG. Plus, he's also one of the first to like her posts, even though he wasn't following her on IG before.

While things are bound to change now that Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk have finally confirmed dating rumors, shippers can be counted upon to cheer them on their off-screen romantic journey. It may come as a relief that they don't have to sneak around on their dates anymore.
