Sunmi, Soyou & More: Female Stars Who Were Accused of Having Plastic Surgery + Their Response
Unfortunately, these female stars and idols have to prove that they are all-natural beauty, following rumors that they had plastic surgery.
When will the suspicion of plastic surgery stop for female celebrities? On February 19, a Korean media outlet released an article listing the female stars and K-pop idols that were previously accused of having plastic surgery. Due to the tremendous curiosity of netizens, they even have to prove that they didn't undergo any procedure, just to stop the hate and far-fetched plastic surgery rumors that they have.
Though there's nothing wrong with getting surgeries to enhance one appearance, it is indeed a rude question that would make anyone feel bad about it.
Here are the Female Stars who Were Accused of Having Plastic Surgery
1. Soyou

The former SISTAR member Soyou, on Feb. 18 communicated with her fans through Instagram live broadcasts.
However, while happily talking with her fans, a netizen's comment saying, "It seems like you got a plastic surgery treatment," captured the idol's interest.
She paused for a while but she coolly responded, "Where do you think I did the procedure? There's a lot of talks curious if I got the procedure or not. Then tell me where do you think I got a procedure?"
She then affirmed that she didn't get any kind of plastic surgery, and continued explaining that her nose bridge is all makeup shading. Soyou also denied that she got a chin filler, neither eyelid surgery.
All of these explanations were made while she's flipping her eyes and showing her nose in the camera. While there are numerous suspicions about plastic surgery, Soyou revealed that she's actually afraid of needles, the reason why she can't have such treatments. Fans of Soyou then comforted her by praising her visual.
2. Sunmi
In 2020, Sunmi who was also caught in a boob job controversy has to explain her side to stop such rumors. It all started when she attended a water festival that is revealing her body figure.
When netizens noticed that her boobs look bigger, a rumor was then created that when the idol looked up her name on the internet, the results will show keywords such as, "Sunmi Boob Job."
However, she refuted all speculations, by savagely responding that she would even show an x-ray if she can just to prove it and by saying, "It's not that big though."

3. Ryu Yi Seo
Ryu Yi Seo, the wife of K-pop idol, and Shinwa JunJin expressed her disbelief on SBS "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2" by complaining of unfairness to malicious comments caused by groundless plastic surgery rumors.
Apparently, the 39-year-old flight attendant wife of the idol truly has a youthful beauty, that netizens are claiming she had plastic surgeries.
4. Chung Ha
In 2020, Chung Ha was accused of getting lip surgery as netizens noticed how she looked different compare to her rookie days.
Initially, netizens are claiming she had so many lip-fillers, but more netizens speculated that she definitely got surgery for her lips.
The soloist eventually denied the allegations, explaining that she it was due to her makeup and weight loss.
