After leaving SM Entertainment to pursue his solo endeavors, the idol signaled his fresh start under BPM Entertainment with the announcement of his solo fandom name!

On May 8, the social media platforms dedicated solely to his activities made an announcement that Taemin will begin recruiting the first fan club members, starting on May 13 to June 2.

According to the idol's official website, the global star's fans will be called, "TAEMate," an amalgamation of his name, "TAEMIN" and "MATE," which means "close friends."

This means that the idol will treat TAEMates and his closest and dearest friends.

This is expected to be added to one of his endearments for fans, such as "Jjakkoong" (friend) and Taemints (their earlier nickname).

After this announcement, Big Planet Made Entertainment, the agency, said:

"Please look forward to the future time Taemin will spend with Taemin's best friend, TAEMmate, who always gives Taemin lots of love and support."

When SHINee World/Shawols (SHINee fandom) saw the fandom name and its details, they were touched to see that Taemin didn't fail to represent himself as a member of the group, despite being a soloist as well.

Looking at the colors from the poster, it was designed using the combination of yellow (Taemin's official color) and pearl aqua green, which is SHINee's official color.

The logo is said to be a pansy flower, which has a special meaning for both Taemin and the fandom. In the past, the male idol shared that the flower symbolizes the words, "remember me," which is what he wants to tell to fans who are waiting for him.

Additional fun fact, there is a so-called Pansy Day, which coincided with SHINee's debut date, May 25.

More information is expected to be released on May 13th.
