Lupita Nyong'o appears to have had a fun time with 'Breaking Bad' cast member Aaron Paul during the 7th Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic event held in Jersey City, New Jersey last weekend. The annual event had an array of celebrities and socialites who braved the outdoors despite the heat.

The '12 Years a Slave' actress was clad in an Alexander McQueen black-and-white patterned dress which has been complemented by a black sunhat. Nyong'o came with her brother, Peter, who was likewise seen in the viral Ellen DeGeneres' Oscar selfie.

Proving her love for selfies, Nyong'o had one with the 'Breaking Bad' actor. Other personalities present in the daytime affair include '50 Shades of Grey' star Dakota Johnson, Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo, and Aaron Rodger's girlfriend, Olivia Munn.

Meanwhile, Lupita Nyong'o will be playing a role in the film adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's best-selling novel, the 'Americanah.'

"Lupita was a very early fan of Americanah. And so before she was sort of well-known in the way that she is now, she wrote me ... the loveliest email, a very long and passionate email about Americanah," said the author.

'Americanah' revolves around the life of a Nigerian woman who relocated to the United States for school and to have an escape as well from her complicated relationships in her homeland. Nyong'o, who has been confirmed to join the cast of 'Star Wars', will reportedly play the role of the film's heroine, Ifemelu.

Nyong'o, who graduated from Yale, once thanked her school for its influence towards her acting style.

"It's so funny, you go to acting school thinking you're going to learn how to be other people, but really it taught me how to be myself. Because it's in understanding yourself deeply that you can lend yourself to another person's circumstances and another person's experience," she told Vanity Fair.
