‘Sherlock’ Actor Benedict Cumberbatch Punched A Reporter Because Of Keira Knightley; Brunette Beauty Thinks She Gives Off Bad Energy

'Sherlock' actor Benedict Cumberbatch proves that he shouldn't be messed with especially comes to women close to him. In an interview with the Elle UK edition magazine, Keira Knightley admitted that her 'Imitation Game' co-star once punched a journalist because of her.

According to the 29-year-old Chanel endorser, 'Sherlock' actor Benedict Cumberbatch merely defended her from a press member who said rude things about her.

"When I saw him [Benedict] again, I said, 'Did you punch a journalist?' and he was like, 'I f***ing did.' Everybody needs a friend like that," Knightley told the magazine for its July issue.

Knightley is oftentimes the object of misinterpretations because of the self-confessed awkwardness that she feels whenever she's not behind the cameras.

"I have an on/off switch and, when I'm doing publicity, I'm absolutely OK, but when I'm not working and people come up to me, I've not got the head on to handle that. I don't give off a nice energy and that makes me still feel awkward. I think it's dreams and fantasies. People want you to be a specific kind of person and if, in the flesh, you're not, that can be tremendously disappointing," she explained.

Cumberbatch appears to have a disdain for press members. When a group of photographers attempted to take snaps of him on the set of 'Sherlock', the actor held a hand-written note which read: "Go photograph Egypt and show the world something important."
