Is Katie Holmes dating 'How I Met You Mother' star Jason Segel? Apparently, OK Magazine reported that Segel and Holmes have been casually seeing each other following their meeting during the recently concluded sitcom, back when Holmes guest-starred on the hit show.

"The story is completely untrue," Holmes' rep Leslie Sloane denied to Us Weekly. "The two have not spoken since she appeared on How I Met Your Mother."

However, had the rumored romance been real, Holmes would have been the second Dawson's Creek star to have dated Segel.

"How I Met Your Mother" star Jason Segel dated Michelle Williams for a year before the two broke up February last year.

This could have been another reason to spark the Katie Holmes Michelle Williams feud which, had been going on for the longest time but, would have ended if the Dawson's Creek reunion show proceeded.

Meanwhile, Katie Holmes' ex-husband Mission Impossible 5 star Tom Cruise has been linked to "Orange Is The New Black" actress. However, they may share the same religion but they are definitely not a couple.

"It's just so funny that, when people don't know, they just make stuff up ... apparently I'm dating Tom Cruise right now," Prepon explained during an interview with SheKnows.com. "And apparently he doesn't want me doing the show because I portray a lesbian and I'm a Scientologist. This is false; where are they even getting this stuff? It's unbelievable to me," the actress added.

It has been reported by The New York Post's Page Six that "Mission Impossible" star Tom Cruise is secretly dating Prepon for some time now.

"It's the buzz on the set of her show," an insider revealed to Page Six of the two Hollywood Scientologists, who were caught in a cozy dinner at the Manor Hotel in Los Angeles in November.

An allegation that Tom Cruise's rep vehemently denies, claiming that the two haven't even met yet.
