700 Media Exploding Interest at Psy's Free Concert

World star Psy proved his unending popularity exploded in Korea as well.

Psy delivered a free concert in Seoul on Thursday bringing his hit "Gangnam Style" to tens of thousands of screaming fans.

Psy had promised to deliver a free concert in Seoul if his song reached the top of Billboard Hot 100 chart. Although he didn't reach the milestone yet, he decided to hold the concert thanking his fans in his home country for their support.

Psy after completing his media tour in the States returned to Korea in triumph as a world star leading the global sensation. He was warmly welcomed back to his home country and set the new Guinness World Record with the large number of audience dancing together.

Thursday concert lasted two hours as he performed a total of 14 songs in addition an encore performance of "Gangnam Style." The city that is usually full of life seemed to in standstill as the singer performed his hit songs.

Proving Psy's worldwide popularity there were about 700 media's in a heated competition to cover the event such as Reuters, AP, and AFP as well as from the States.

Psy released "Gangnam Style" on July 15, and since then the singer has appeared on MTV, "The Ellen Show" NBC's "Today," iHeartRadio Festival and at the time of the concert the song ranked #2 on the Billboard charts.

Psy is to leave for Australia on October 15th and return back to the States on the 18th in preparation for his album promotions.
