Why the Public is Apathetic towards Rain-Kim Tae Hee's Relationship

Right from the start of the new year, the dating scandal of top stars Rain and Kim Tae Hee broke out. Although the news continued to talk about the two, there was not much depth to it.

There is some differences between the Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung scandal in that they denied the scandal at first whereas Rain and Kim Tae Hee admitted right away that it was true.

The public does not mind when scandals such as this break out, however, in the case of Rain and Kim Tae Hee, it is the location and timing that has the public uneasy.

The first news media to publish news about this scandal had stated that Rain had met with Kim Tae Hee every week, regardless of the fact that he was in the army.

The fact that Rain is still in the army and has been able to receive many holidays and leaves during his term has the public shocked. 

Other media have reported that he was seen having a date with Kim Tae He after his activities were over as well.

In just over a year, he had had around 62 days of leave, which is unthinkable for a normal citizen.

Others also believe that if you are serving your country, you should be doing it with everything you have, not taking time to date and meet women.

Rain had previously stated that if you are a man, you should proudly go to the army and serve. However, this scandal proves otherwise.

With his many temporarily leaves and holidays, more people have begun to go against celebrity army bases.

Even more so, the public cannot understand nor accept the fact that Rain is already in an easier army base and yet still coming out often to meet Kim Tae Hee or attend other celebrity functions.

Many believe that although he is in the army, he still has the mindset of a star, which plays a big part of his life. The public feels that he should straighten his priorities and finish his duty as a soldier first.
