On October 30, 2021, the Korean Business Research Institute released its brand reputation rankings for idol groups for the month of October. Keep on reading to see which 30 K-pop groups are the most popular in South Korea right now.
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 77,285,009 pieces of big data from September 30, 2020, to October 29, 2020, to analyze the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index for idol groups.
All of these added up to equal a K-pop group's brand reputation index.
BTS is the Most Popular K-Pop Group in October 2021
BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) ranked in first place with a participation index of 1,589,104, a media index of 1,803,890, a community index of 1,624,131, and a communication index of 1,910,114.
In addition, their total brand reputation index is 6,972,239.

aespa is the Most Popular K-Pop Girl Group in October 2021
Ranking in second place is monster rookies aespa (Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning). The girl group has a participation index of 1,066,736, a media index of 1,554,357, a community index of 724,569, and a communication index of 1,773,310.
Their total brand reputation index of 5,122,971.

BLACKPINK is the Third Most Popular K-Pop Group in October 2021
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa) ranked in third place this month. The YG Entertainment girl group has a participation index of 370,656, a media index of 775,688, a community index of 448,150, and a communication index of 2,757,665. In addition, their total brand reputation index is 4,352,159.

NCT is the Second Most Popular K-Pop Boy Group in October 2021
NCT (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Lucas, Mark, Xiaojun, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Shotaro, Sungchan, Chenle, and Jisung) ranked in fourth place this month. The boy group has a participation index of 170,554, a media index of 356,856, a community index of 1,300,643, and a communication index of 1,206,169. In addition, their total brand reputation index is 3,034,212.

SEVENTEEN is the Fifth Most Popular K-Pop Group in October 2021
Ranking in fifth place is SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino). The boy group has a participation index of 496,144, a media index of 820,043, a community index of 466,946, and a communication index of 844,226. Their total brand reputation index of 2,627,376.
