Eminem new album 2013: Is the September 2 rumor date really going to happen with as of August 13, still no official name or even a single. Well, as far as his acting career, it seems to also to have resurfaced since the success of "Recovery" in 2010.

"We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time," Shady president Paul Rosenberg told Billboard back in February about the Detroit rapper's new album. He also said it would be post-Labor Day.

Labor Day is September 2 this year and that has become the rumored release date for Eminem's new album. This has yet to be confirmed by anybody inside Shady Records for the 2013 release.

When Eminem was confirmed to perform new music at G-Shock's "Shock the World" party in NYC last week, he only played some of his classics like "Loose Yourself," which was the single from the 2002 film, "8 Mile."

As the September 2 date looms, it's becoming almost inveitable that the new album will be pushed back further into 2013. This hasn't stopped the resurgence of the former bleach-blonde star's acting career.

Eminem is set to play a boxer in the upcoming film "Southpaw". Peter Schiff will produce the film and Antoine Fuqua is reportedly the leading candidate to direct. There was a rumor that Eminem will star in the upcoming thriller, "Random Acts of Violence."

There was also the latest news that Marshall Mathers was offered the lead role in one of 2013's biggest sci-fi blockbusters, "Elysium". He reportedly turned it down, forcing director Neill Blomkamp to instead star Matt Damon, according to the Guardian.

Firstly, Die Antwoord rapper Ninja was the chosen star, though he turned it down, which freed a chance for Eminem to star in the 2013 film. According to the Guardian, Eminem was indeed interested though the now sober musician wanted it filmed in his hometown of Detroit.
