Playstation Vita Games 2013: PS4 Release Date To Save Handheld? Analysts Suggest Next-Generation Console Will Revitalize It

Gaming analyst Michael Pachter recently claimed that the PS4 won't be able to save the Playstation Vita, but NowGamer suggests the next-generation console will revitalize it.

"With the majority of PS4 owners likely to be PS Plus subscribers, those users will be not only be getting access to free PS4 games, but a host of PS Vita games as well," NowGamer writes.

"With a library of free PS Vita games at your fingertips, suddenly, the Vita will start to look a lot more tempting."

Speculation surrounding the next-generation console's official release date has been swaying around a November availability date, but others say December might be a more likely release month.

Despite many rumors suggesting Sony's PlayStation 4 console would get a November release, retailer GameStop has put a spanner in the works for all UK gamers hoping to find one sitting beneath their Christmas tree this December, the International Business Times writes.

Those pre-ordering the next-gen console through the retailer's website won't find a release date on the pre-order main page, but as soon as you proceed through to the transaction process, the release date of 29 December can be seen within the product summary in the buyer's shopping cart section, the International Business Times also writes.

Sony can no longer guarantee that if you pre-order a PlayStation 4 in the UK you'll get it at launch, EuroGamer reports.
