Glee Cast Live Stage Musical? Fox Show Moves On From Cory Monteith Death

The chairman of the 20th Century Fox, Gary Newman, has confirmed the news to Hollywood Reporter about the plans of moving the hit TV show to broadway.

According to Gary Newman, "We launched a live stage business with a sold-out arena concert tour in 2011, and now a live stage musical is in the works. However, the chairman has yet to confirm the date for the potential show.

No details yet have been confirmed about the live stage musical. It is also not confirmed whether the original casts like Jane Lynch or Lea Michele will play the roles in the musical.

The hit Fox series is not only making its way in the Broadway stage. The producers of the show have also renewed the series up to Season 6 early this April.

Despite the death of Cory Monteith, one of the main characters in the show, the "Glee" cast seems to be moving on as they head to the Broadway.

It was just last month after the world was shocked by the death of Cory Monteith, who plays the role of Finn Hudson in "Glee." The actor is a main character in the series from "Glee" Season 1 to Season 5.

After Cory Monteith's tragic death, the producers of the show confirmed that the Monteith's character will be written off the show.

Kevin Reilly, chairman of Fox Entertainment, gave hints that the show might end after Season 6: "I would not anticipate it goes beyond two more season," according to the chairman, further adding, "Never say never."

"Glee" Season 5 will start airing on Thursday, September 26.
