Gia Allemand Dead: Boyfriend Ryan Anderson Speaks Out After Finding Her Unconscious Following Suicide; Will ‘Cherish’ Their Memories, He Says

Gia Allemand died Wednesday, after her NBA star boyfriend Ryan Anderson found Gia unconscious in her New Orleans home following a suicide attempt. Anderson released a statement in the wake of Gia's death.

"I'm deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans," Anderson said in a statement obtained by People magazine on Wednesday. "Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile."

"She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared."

Anderson found the 29-year-old model/actress in her New Orleans home on Monday night after her apparent suicide attempt, USA Today reports. Anderson called 911 and an emergency medical crew rushed Allemand to University Hospital, where she was said to be in critical condition, E! News reports.

Her publicist described her injuries as the result of "a serious emergency medical event," USA Today reports.

She was taken off of life support and died on Wednesday, following a "critical loss of brain and organ function," her family said in a statement.

Allemand "passed away peacefully with her mother, boyfriend, and other life-long friends by her side. As a practicing Christian, Gia did receive the sacrament of last rites," her rep said in a statement.

"Loved ones and fans will remember Gia Allemand as a caring woman who loved her family and was well-known for her compassion towards animals and mission to rescue homeless pets. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming in another official statement once available. On behalf of the family, we sincerely ask for privacy at this time."

Gia appeared on two seasons of "Bachelor Pad," and was a contestant from season 14 of ABC's "The Bachelor."
