The Sony Xperia i1 Honami phone may have 4k video recording capability, a new leaked photo reveals. This is in addition to rumored specs that the Honami phone will also have a 20 megapixel camera complete with a G-lens.

Mobiletor.com reports that a leaked promotional photo reveals the Sony Xperia i1 Honami's ability to support 4K videos. It was spotted by Engadget on a Chinese language website called Vgooo. Mobiletor.com speculates that this means the upcoming Sony smartphone will include a 4K-ready Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset.

The promotional slide discloses the video resolution of the handset to be 4000 x 2000 pixels and the presence of a 20MP Exmor R sensor camera. Users will also find that the company has bestowed the gadget with a decent 2.2MP webcam, the website reports.

Other rumored specs include a 5-inch or bigger touchscreen with the Triluminous technology, a 2.2GHz chipset, and the potential for customers to have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage which is probably expandable using a microSD card and a power pack of 3000mAh capacity, Mobiletor.com notes.

The website also mentions, as do various other reports, that the Xperia i1 Honami launch event is expected to take place on September 4, and will be shown off at the IFA 2013 conference in Berlin.
